Orland is 8-2 against Oroville since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Orland Trojans will look to defend their home court against the Oroville Tigers at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Orland has seven straight wins, Oroville has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Tuesday, Orland didn't have too much trouble with Live Oak as they won 69-53.

Jayden Thompson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 20 points and nine assists. Another player making a difference was Preston Carlson, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 17 points along with six rebounds and five assists.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Oroville faced off against Corning on Tuesday. Oroville took a 53-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Corning.

Despite the loss, Oroville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kevin Taylor posted 16 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. Taylor is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rashawn Bland, who put up ten points.

Oroville's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Orland, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Orland has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 32.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Oroville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 24.4 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
