Baseball Recap: Rice Comes Up Short

Rice was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blooming Grove Lions. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lions this season, with their most recent loss being a 18-5 defeat back in March.

Rice's loss dropped their record down to 2-21-1. As for Blooming Grove, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-12 record.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Rice will take on rival Palmer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Blooming Grove is set to square off against their familiar foe Scurry-Rosser at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
