Volleyball Recap: Coeur d'Alene Vikings vs. Boise Brave
After flying high against Pocatello on Saturday, Coeur d'Alene came back down to earth. The Vikings fell just short of the Boise Brave by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Brave apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.
In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Coeur d'Alene sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-11, 23-25, 25-21, 17-25, 15-13.
Gianna Callari paced Coeur d'Alene's offense, picking up 21 kills. Callari got some help from Eva Callari and her 31 assists. Bridget Maiani controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Boise was led to victory by Katelyn Huck and Delaney Hamilton. Huck had 17 digs and five assists, while Hamilton had nine digs and two assists. Huck is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last ten games she's played.
