Bacon Academy can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Lyman Memorial Bulldogs as the Bacon Academy Bobcats made off with an 18-9 victory. Considering Bacon Academy has won three contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Samantha D'Atri was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and three unearned) runs off 11 hits. D'Atri was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-5.
In other batting news, Riley Stolzman was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Natalia Vernali was another key contributor, going 3-for-5 with six RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
