Basketball Recap: Liberal Comes Up Short

Liberal was the 76-52 winner over Northeast Vernon County when they last played one another back in January of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Liberal Bulldogs took a 50-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northeast Vernon County Knights.

Liberal dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Northeast Vernon County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberal will venture away from home to square off against Riverton at 7:30 p.m. on January 28th. As for Northeast Vernon County, they will head out to face off against Jefferson Independent Day at 7:00 p.m. on January 28th.
