Volleyball Recap: Summit Tigers vs. Steamboat Springs Sailors
If Summit was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Rifle last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers came up short against the Steamboat Springs Sailors on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sailors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.
While Summit ultimately came up short, they really made Steamboat Springs work, particularly in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-15, 28-26.
Steamboat Springs was led to victory by Macee Wettlaufer and Sammy Coleman. Wettlaufer had 17 digs and four assists, while Coleman had eight digs. Those four assists gave Wettlaufer a new career-high.
