Baseball Recap: Valley Center Comes Up Short

Valley Center came into this matchup off a tough nine-run defeat last Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Ramona Bulldogs by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 7, 2019, but that streak is no more.

Valley Center saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonathan Teter, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Valley Center's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Ramona, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-5 record this season.

While Valley Center had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
