Basketball Game Preview: Boone Central Cardinals vs. O'Neill Eagles

The Boone Central Cardinals will challenge the O'Neill Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Boone Central is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Boone Central beat Pierce 51-46.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask O'Neill). They breezed by Crofton to the tune of 65-30 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Eagles have posted since January 20, 2024.

Boone Central better focus on containing Brady Eichelberger and Braxen Eichelberger as the pair were huge in O'Neill's win. Brady went 6 for 11 on his way to 12 points in addition to five assists and four steals, while Braxen went 5 of 9 en route to 13 points. That's the most steals Brady has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevor Alder, who posted eight points.

Boone Central now has a winning record of 5-4. As for O'Neill, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Boone Central couldn't quite finish off O'Neill in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 and fell 51-49.
