Basketball Recap: Dayspring Christian Academy Comes Up Short

If Dayspring Christian Academy was riding high fresh off their 64-40 takedown of Ridgeview Christian on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions had to suffer through a 58-19 loss at the hands of the Redeemer Classical Griffins. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-11.

Redeemer Classical found their leader in sophomore Samuel Peters, who shot 52% from the field en route to 28 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Michael, who posted eight points and 11 boards.

Dayspring Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Redeemer Classical, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Dayspring Christian Academy beat the Griffins by a score of 75-43 later that day.
