Villa Grove got a great performance from Zane Hosler as he pitched 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Hosler has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Mt. Pulaski's defeat dropped their record down to 20-6. As for Villa Grove, their record now sits at 8-14.
