Softball Game Preview: White County Warriors vs. Franklin County Rebels

The White County Warriors will venture away from home to take on the Franklin County Rebels at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. White County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

Things were looking good for White County after they put the first run on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cookeville. The Warriors have struggled against the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Mabry Taylor spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up six Ks. Those six strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, White County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Howell, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Franklin County came up short against Warren County on Monday and fell 7-3.

White County's record now sits at 9-13. As for Franklin County, their record is now 14-14.
