Baseball Recap: Kankakee Valley Takes a Loss

Kankakee Valley lost to Highland back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Kougars lost 8-2 to the Trojans. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Kougars have suffered against the Trojans since April 11, 2022.

Kankakee Valley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jeremiah Fitzpatrick, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Kankakee Valley has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Highland, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-7.

While Kankakee Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
