Basketball Recap: Beech Grove Triumphs

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Beech Grove had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They managed a 49-45 win over the Indian Creek Braves. This was a revenge game for the Hornets: when they faced off against the Braves back in November of 2024, they had to take a 56-51 loss.

It was another big night for Mylee Boling, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in blocks (three). Another player making a difference was Lyla Muffler-Challis, who posted six points.

Beech Grove now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Indian Creek, they moved to 15-8 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Beech Grove will square off against Roncalli at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Roncalli will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Beech Grove surely won't give up without a fight. Indian Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
