Grand Island is 9-1 against Lincoln High since October of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Islanders will take on the Links in a tournament on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Grand Island and ten for Lincoln High.

Grand Island's tournament run continued when they took on Columbus on Monday. The Islanders took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Discoverers.

Despite the loss, Grand Island saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Irelynn Sughroue had 12 digs and one assist.

Meanwhile, Lincoln High came up short against Norfolk on Monday and fell 2-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-15.

Grand Island's defeat dropped their record down to 8-22. As for Lincoln High, their loss dropped their record down to 3-26.

Grand Island was able to grind out a solid victory over Lincoln High when the teams last played last Saturday, winning 2-0. Do the Islanders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Links turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
