Basketball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Plains' Seventh in Last Eight Outings

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Whiteface, Plains was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Seagraves Eagles with a sharp 44-24 victory. Given the Cowboys' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 275th, while the Eagles are ranked 1242nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Plains is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Seagraves, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season.

Plains will head out to square off against Ropes at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seagraves, they will be playing at home against Sundown at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Seagraves is facing Sundown at the right time seeing as Sundown is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
