Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ceci Trevino and Lucia Lopez Lead Incarnate Word to Victory

Incarnate Word's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Long Creek Dragons. The Shamrocks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Dragons, too.

Leading Incarnate Word to victory were Lucia Lopez and Ceci Trevino. Lopez had six digs and four aces, while Trevino had five digs and three aces. Those four aces gave Lopez a new career-high. Abby Ruelas also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Incarnate Word's record now sits at 7-12. As for Long Creek, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

Incarnate Word wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Veterans Memorial on the 29th. Long Creek has also already played their next match (against Permian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
