Softball Recap: Seneca Takes a Loss

Seneca's last matchup with Waggener could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Wednesday. Seneca lost 19-9 to Waggener. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Hawks of the 9-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Seneca now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Waggener, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seneca will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Central at 5:30 p.m. on April 11. As for Waggener, they will head out to square off against Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
