Basketball Game Preview: Open Door Christian Patriots vs. Medina Christian Academy Knights

The Open Door Christian Patriots will venture away from home to face off against the Medina Christian Academy Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Open Door Christian came up short against Vermilion and fell 59-47.

Meanwhile, Medina Christian Academy managed to keep up with Cornerstone Christian until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Medina Christian Academy was beaten by Cornerstone Christian 87-57. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 671st, while the Patriots are ranked 144th).

This is the second loss in a row for Medina Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 6-13. As for Open Door Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Open Door Christian came up short against Medina Christian Academy when the teams last played back in January, falling 70-60. Can Open Door Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
