Calhoun Academy scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Friday. They put the hurt on the Newark Reds with a sharp 18-1 win. Calhoun Academy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Landon Barnes made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (he also only allowed one walk). Barnes has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. Barnes was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
