Football Recap: Sasakwa's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Sasakwa had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 44 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They blew past the Fox Foxes 66-20. The Vikings have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Foxes, too.

Sasakwa's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Titan Collins, who picked up 92 receiving yards and two TDs. Collins was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 55 yards. Another pass catcher making a difference was Darius Henderson, who picked up 70 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Sasakwa was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 318 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Sasakwa's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Fox, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season.

Sasakwa will square off against Paoli at 7:00 p.m. on the 7th. The Vikings will be up against the Pugs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.43 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Fox, they will venture away from home to face off against Maud at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
