Softball Recap: Tara Has No Trouble Against North Iberville

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Episcopal, Tara was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Everything went their way against the North Iberville Bears as they made off with a 22-7 victory. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won six matches by 15 runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Leiyah Parker, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Heaven Beauchamp, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Tara hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 4-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Tara's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for North Iberville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tara will challenge East Iberville at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Iberville, they will venture away from home to face off against Independence at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
