Volleyball Recap: Hayden Tigers vs. Rangely Panthers
Hayden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rangely Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.
Hayden started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 17-25, 25-17, 25-20, 15-10.
Rangely was led to victory by Isabella Cox and Taylor Fouch. Cox had six digs and four aces, while Fouch had 14 digs. Cox is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Hayden's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Rangely, their victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 7-10.
Hayden didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Grand Valley on the 11th. As for Rangely, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Manila on the 11th.
