             The Villa Angela-St. Joseph Vikings's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy Royals at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday.
 On Saturday, Villa Angela-St. Joseph didn't have quite enough to beat Bay and fell  2-1. While the Vikings didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rockets  25-21 in the first  period.
 Villa Angela-St. Joseph started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 25-21,  25-17.
 Meanwhile, Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy had just enough and edged Elyria Catholic out  3-2 on Thursday. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Royals.
 It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 20-25, 25-19, 23-25,  18-16.
 Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy relied on the efforts of   Hallie Hendrickx, who  had 28  digs, three  aces,  and two  kills, and   Kaylee Darr, who  had 11  digs. Hendrickx is  on a roll when it comes to  aces, as she's  now  served two or more in the last nine games she's  played dating back to last season.
 Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 19  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least five  aces in 21 consecutive  matchups  dating back to last season.
 Villa Angela-St. Joseph's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, they now  have a winning record of 10-9.
