Football Recap: Manassas Park Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Manassas Park's offense. They had to suffer through a 64-0 loss at the hands of the Skyline Hawks. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Hawks: they've now lost six in a row.

Zayden Burks was his usual excellent self, rushing for 128 yards and two touchdowns for Skyline. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 70 yards. Dayshawn Haley was another key player, throwing for 164 yards on only 12 passes.

Manassas Park's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Skyline, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Manassas Park will head out to take on Brentsville District at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Skyline, they will venture away from home to face off against Central Woodstock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
