Basketball Recap: Wabeno/Laona Takes a Loss

Wabeno/Laona was the 61-53 winner over Menominee Indian when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Wabeno/Laona Rebels lost to the Menominee Indian Eagles at home by a 64-46 margin on Saturday. The matchup marked the Rebels' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Wabeno/Laona and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Menominee Indian, their victory ended a 14-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wabeno/Laona will challenge Coleman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Menominee Indian, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the Menominee Indian Eagles take on the Amherst Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Menominee Indian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
