Soccer Recap: Florence Takes a Loss

If Florence was feeling good fresh off their 9-0 takedown of Natchez two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Florence Eagles lost 6-1 to the South Jones Braves on Tuesday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 back in December of 2024.

Florence's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-10. As for South Jones, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3-1.

Florence will challenge North Pike at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. South Jones does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
