Volleyball Recap: Southeastern Local Beats Greeneview for Their Third Straight Win

Southeastern Local extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Makenna Nesbitt. The Trojans came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Greeneview Rams with plenty of help from Nesbitt, who had ten digs and four aces. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Southeastern Local wouldn't go down easily and took Greeneview into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-17, 21-25, 23-25, 15-8.

Despite the loss, Greeneview still got an impressive performance from Annamae Zeolla, who had 12 digs.

Southeastern Local's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Greeneview, they dropped their record down to 1-2 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southeastern Local will face off against Madison Plains at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greeneview, they will square off against Urbana at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
