Softball Recap: Brookside Takes a Loss

Brookside came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Oak Harbor Rockets, falling 18-1.

Markie-Ann Aliff made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Brookside has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Oak Harbor, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Brookside and Oak Harbor will both be playing Notre Dame Academy the next time they take the field. The Cardinals will head out to face the Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Rockets will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
