Football Recap: North Fork Miners vs. Wray Eagles

North Fork and Wray squared off in some playoff action on Sunday, but North Fork had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 48-14 loss at the hands of the Wray Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Miners can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 149th, while the Eagles are ranked 17th).

Casey Midcap was his usual excellent self, rushing for 116 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, while also throwing for 128 yards and three touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes for Wray. Midcap got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 69 yards. Another player making a difference was Aaron Tena, who picked up 92 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

North Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Wray, the victory for them keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

As of now, neither North Fork nor Wray have any future games scheduled.
