Basketball Recap: Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight games and they got it from Champion Bowman. The Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors claimed a resounding 76-33 win over the Unity Christian Lions thanks in part to Bowman, who went 9 for 13 on his way to 23 points in addition to six assists and three steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jared Mitchell, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 13 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Unity Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 92-61 loss against North Cobb Christian on the 3rd. Unity Christian has also already played their next match, a 66-42 defeat against Woodland on the 30th.
