Basketball Recap: Jefferson Township Takes a Loss

Jefferson Township played a tough matchup on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the CHESS Christian Royals, falling 58-21. The Broncos were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-12.

Jefferson Township dropped their record down to 2-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for CHESS Christian, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-1.

Jefferson Township won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Mississinawa Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for CHESS Christian, they will welcome Milford Christian at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. CHESS Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 contests -- so hopefully Milford Christian likes a good challenge.
