Basketball Recap: Layton Christian Academy Extends Winning Streak to Two

Layton Christian Academy won the last time they faced Uintah, and Tyrin Jones did his part to make sure it happened again. The Layton Christian Academy Eagles blew past the Uintah Utes 74-42 on Friday thanks in part to Jones, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 17 points in addition to five boards and three steals. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last three times he's played.

Another player making a difference was Anor Wogar, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 14 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Despite the loss, Uintah still got an impressive performance from Jaxon Jenson, who posted 17 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Layton Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 10-8. As for Uintah, they dropped their record down to 11-4 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Layton Christian Academy will venture away from home to take on Mountain View at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Layton Christian Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Uintah, they will face off against Provo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Provo has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 211 points over their last three contests.
