Alleghany is 8-1-1 against Glenvar since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Cougars will face off against the Highlanders at 5:00 p.m.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Cougars on Thursday. Alleghany fell 11-8 to Patrick County. Alleghany has struggled against Patrick County recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Seven must be Glenvar's lucky number: they beat James River with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Highlanders beat the Knights by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 7-1. The Highlanders haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Glenvar's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Alleghany, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Alleghany couldn't quite get it done against Glenvar when the teams last played back in April as they fell 7-2. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
