While De Kalb's win against New Boston wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bears sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Lions on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bears have posted against the Lions since October 25, 2022.

De Kalb wouldn't go down easily and took New Boston into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-18, 25-17, 22-25, 15-10.

De Kalb is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-11 record this season. As for New Boston, their defeat ended a six-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-11.
