Basketball Recap: Hartville Christian Takes a Loss

Hartville Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-46 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wabash Valley HomeSchool Warriors.

Wabash Valley HomeSchool's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gavin Sutton led the charge by going 6 of 7 on his way to 17 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Wallace, who posted 11 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists.

Hartville Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Wabash Valley HomeSchool, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Hartville Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 44-10 defeat against Pleasant View Christian on the 17th. As for Wabash Valley HomeSchool, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 31-28 loss against Heartland Christian on the 17th.
