LaSalle came tearing into Saturday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over Simsboro. Considering LaSalle has won 16 games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

LaSalle pushed their record up to 20-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Simsboro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-8.

LaSalle wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 13-2 victory against Monterey on the 29th. As for Simsboro, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 19-0 defeat against D'Arbonne Woods on the 29th.
