Basketball Recap: Tranquillity Takes a Loss

After flying high against Alpaugh last Wednesday, Tranquillity came back down to earth. The Tranquillity Tigers fell 42-31 to the Firebaugh Eagles on Friday. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 56-51.

Firebaugh's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jasson Lara, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Garcia, who put up eight points.

Tranquillity dropped their record down to 8-17 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Firebaugh, their win bumped their record up to 8-15.

Tranquillity didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-33 loss against Dos Palos on the 4th. As for Firebaugh, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 83-23 defeat against Coalinga on the 1st.
