Preview: Tipton Cardinals vs. Green Ridge Tigers
The Tipton Cardinals will be playing in front of their home fans against the Green Ridge Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Tipton's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Green Ridge has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
Tipton suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Saturday. They were the victim of a tough 72-47 loss at the hands of Weaubleau. Tipton was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-25.
Defeat or not, Tipton got some senior leadership from Emmett Haas and Zach Moon. Haas scored 11 points along with seven rebounds, while Moon. scored 14 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Green Ridge pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Stover by a score of 63-60. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Green Ridge has suffered yet this season.
Tipton's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Green Ridge, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-4 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Tipton against Green Ridge in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 78-42 victory. Will Tipton repeat their success, or does Green Ridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
