Recap: New Castle Trojans vs. Centerville Bulldogs
A well-balanced attack led the New Castle Trojans over the Centerville Bulldogs in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. New Castle strolled past Centerville with points to spare, taking the game 64-46. The win made it back-to-back wins for New Castle.
New Castle was led to victory by Colin Taylor and Mason Miller. Taylor scored 13 points along with seven assists and four steals, while Miller went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and 3 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Miller has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Isaac Madden, who scored ten points along with three steals.
New Castle pushed their record up to 9-9 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points per game. As for Centerville, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.
New Castle has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Delta at 7:30 p.m. on February 8th. Hopefully New Castle focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Tuesday. As for Centerville, they will head out on the road to challenge Blue River Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
