Football Preview: Wesson Cobras vs. Franklin County Bulldogs
Wesson and Franklin County are an even 4-4 against one another since October of 2014, but not for long. The Wesson Cobras will be playing at home against the Franklin County Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Wesson has six straight wins, Franklin County has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Wesson is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Port Gibson 56-0 on the road on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Cobras, who have now won three matches by 23 points or more so far this season.
Cj Jackson was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries. Damarion Smith also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.

While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi football rankings (they are ranked 206th, while the Tigers are ranked 81st).
Wesson's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0. As for Franklin County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
