Basketball Recap: Varnum Comes Up Short

After flying high against Deer Creek-Lamont last Saturday, Varnum came back down to earth. The Varnum Whippets were just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 44-43 to the Hominy Bucks.

Varnum's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Hominy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-6.

Varnum has already played their next matchup (against Wilson-Henryetta), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Hominy, they will venture away from home to face off against Oilton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hominy is facing Oilton at the right time seeing as Oilton is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
