Volleyball Game Preview: Sun Valley Spartans vs. Marvin Ridge Mavericks + How To Watch

Sun Valley is 2-8 against Marvin Ridge since October of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Sun Valley comes in on three and Marvin Ridge on 12.

On Wednesday, Sun Valley made easy work of Piedmont and carried off a 3-0 win.

Sun Valley's got stronger as the match went on, holding Piedmont to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-14, 25-6.

Meanwhile, Marvin Ridge got the win against Catawba Ridge on Wednesday by a conclusive 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-16, 25-14.

Sun Valley better keep an eye on Brooklyn Wilson. She was instrumental in Marvin Ridge's win, getting 18 digs and two assists. Those 18 digs gave Wilson a new career-high.

Sun Valley's record now sits at 17-11. As for Marvin Ridge, their record is now 23-2.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's match: Sun Valley has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.1 aces per game. However, it's not like Marvin Ridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.4 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
