Baseball Game Preview: Central Woodstock Falcons vs. Rappahannock County

The Central Woodstock Falcons will take on Rappahannock County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Central Woodstock is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

On Wednesday, Central Woodstock needed a bit of extra time to put away Clarke County. They skirted past the Eagles 7-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Jaxson Kelican was excellent, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs. Central Woodstock is undefeated when Kelican posts two or more runs, but 6-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Hosaflook, who got on base in two of his five plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Rappahannock County came up short against Luray on Tuesday and fell 5-1. That's two games in a row now that Rappahannock County has lost by exactly four runs.

Central Woodstock's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Rappahannock County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-8.

Central Woodstock was able to grind out a solid win over Rappahannock County in their previous meeting back in April, winning 5-1. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do Rappahannock County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
