Baseball Recap: Beaumont United Comes Up Short

Beaumont United was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 30th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Port Arthur Memorial Titans, falling 16-6. If the Timberwolves were looking for revenge after losing 8-0 to the Titans when the teams met back in April of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Myles Andrews was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonah Balka, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.

Beaumont United's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Port Arthur Memorial, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-6.

While Beaumont United had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
