Volleyball Recap: Northside Comes Up Short

Northside lost against Starr's Mill last Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Patriots took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers.

Starr's Mill's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kate Ryan led the charge by getting six digs and three aces. Another player making a difference was Katie Gutshall, who had nine assists and three digs.

Northside's loss dropped their record down to 18-17. As for Starr's Mill, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-12.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Northside will square off against rival Harris County at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Starr's Mill is set to face off against their familiar foe Central at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
