Marengo and Winnebago are an even 3-3 against one another since August of 2016, but not for long. Marengo will square off against Winnebago at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Winnebago took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Marengo, who comes in off a win.

Marengo hadn't beaten Woodstock on the road since August 27, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Indians walked away with a 2-0 win over the Blue Streaks.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Winnebago had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Durand. The loss continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost five in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-10.

Marengo came out on top in a nail-biter against Winnebago in their previous meeting back in August of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Marengo since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
