Basketball Recap: Cheney RVT Beavers vs. Prince RVT Falcons
The Cheney RVT Beavers lost against the Prince RVT Falcons back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Cheney RVT was the victim of a rough 41-21 loss at the hands of the Falcons. Cheney RVT has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Cheney RVT saw an underclassman step up: Janilla Hanson scored seven points along with 12 rebounds and seven blocks. Hanson hasn't dropped below two blocks for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Azariah Quintana, who scored two points.
Cheney RVT has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Prince RVT, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cheney RVT will challenge the Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Prince RVT, they will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harvard Ellis Tech is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
