Basketball Recap: Jal Takes a Loss

Jal and Texico squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Jal had to settle for second. They came up short against the Texico Wolverines, falling 61-37. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Wolverines recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Jal's loss dropped their record down to 16-13. As for Texico, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 27-2.

Jal does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Texico, they will face off against Pecos at 8:00 a.m. on Friday. One thing working in Texico's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 14 games.
