Soccer Game Preview: San Dimas vs. Hawthorne Math & Science Academy

The San Dimas Saints and the Hawthorne Math & Science Academy The Aviators will round out the year against one another at at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. Hawthorne Math & Science Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on San Dimas, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, San Dimas turned things around against The Webb Schools two weeks ago. They were the clear victor by a 5-0 margin over the Gauls. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Saints considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

Meanwhile, Hawthorne Math & Science Academy's undefeated season came to an end after six games on Thursday. They fell just short of Wiseburn- Da Vinci by a score of 3-2. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the The Aviators came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while Wolves are ranked 437th).

Having lost for the first time this season, Hawthorne Math & Science Academy fell to 6-1. As for San Dimas, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4-1.
