Chesterton waltzed into their match on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 64-58 W against the Hammond Central Wolves. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

When it comes to explaining why Hammond Central lost, don't look at Marcus Browder. Despite the final result, he went 13-for-18 on his way to 32 points in addition to six boards and five steals. The game was Browder's 14th in a row with at least 15 points. Gregory Dotson was another key player, going 8-for-11 en route to 19 points and five steals.

Chesterton's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Hammond Central, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

Coming up, Chesterton is taking a road trip to challenge Valparaiso at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Valparaiso is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50 points per game this season. As for Hammond Central, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-53 defeat against Lake Central on the 18th.
